I R IN SINGAPORE
I have been impressed by how modern the place is, the main CBD area is all neon light at night (which looked amazing) and looks all dandy during the day. The city has a series of underground passages which go under streets and connect malls, now while you may think that this is all evil and dark… nope! Infact it is wide, well light, full of people and shops everywhere. You don’t feel like your underground.
It’s also got a train system (MRT) which on all the stations has huge walls so you can’t get onto the tracks and when the train stops doors on the station open up so you can get to the train (a very good idea). The city is VERY clean with people cleaning up left, right and centre. Infact littering and spitting will have you get whipped (yes they still have whips and death penalty here… which I don’t like).
Thus the city seems pretty safe, the internet is a good speed but the TV sucks!
I have a couple more days left, to be honest I can’t wait to be back in Australia, but this isn’t ALL bad!
The first day here was walking around looking at stuff and going to some famous old hotel in which beers were $25… lolwut? oh the drinking age here is 16… and I am 16 in a mouth FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
Second day we took a train trip (normal train, not special one) around some of the island then we went to some place with the “spice gardens” and a fort where Japan got Singapore in WW2. At the fort was a place were many British, Australian and New Zealand solders got captured and had a very bad time.
Third day was me at this place alone watching tv n stuff
see ya next time
